Shore Capital and Silver Lake Approaching $8.6 Billion Pet Care Merger
A significant development is taking place in the pet care industry. Private equity firm Shore Capital Partners is in discussions with Silver Lake Management to orchestrate the merger of two veterinary groups. According to Bloomberg News, the value of the transaction is set at $8.6 billion.
The agreement involves Shore Capital combining its portfolio companies, Southern Veterinary Partners and Mission Veterinary Partners, followed by a recapitalization of the newly formed entity with an investment from California-based Silver Lake.
The partnership between the two private equity firms will result in joint ownership of the newly created organization. Additionally, the companies are expected to inject approximately $4 billion in new capital into the business. So far, there has been no immediate response to requests for comments regarding the discussions from either Silver Lake or Shore Capital.
