Lagarde: ECB to continue raising rates due to price pressures
European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said that inflation pressures in the euro zone remain high and the ECB will continue to raise interest rates to reduce underlying price dynamics. "Overall, price pressures remain strong and underlying inflation remains high," Lagarde said in the European Parliament. "While most measures of long-term inflation expectations are currently around 2%, these measures warrant constant monitoring," the ECB president said.
