Headline: China's Apparent Steel Consumption Plummets by 6.2% Year-on-Year from January to September
The state-backed China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that China's apparent steel consumption in the first three quarters of 2024 decreased by 6.2% year-on-year to 688 million tons. Official data released last week indicated that China's crude steel production during the same period fell by 3.6% year-on-year to 768.48 million tons.
