Intriguing Gains: Which Stocks Led the Charge on Borsa Istanbul Today?

The BIST 100 index showed a predominantly bullish movement today.

Following a positive opening, the BIST 100 continued its ascent, reaching as high as 8,920 points during the day. Near closing, some selling pressure emerged, but the index traded around the 8,840-point range with an approximately 1.5% increase in the final hour. The most in-demand sectors on Borsa Istanbul today were trade, insurance, and SMEs, while communication was the only sector in the red by the last hour. Banks rose by nearly 1%, with holding companies seeing around a 1.5% increase in value.

The top five gainers in BIST 100 today were AGROT, EUPWR, REEDR, TURSG, and KONYA. The top five decliners were DOHOL, TAVHL, KTLEV, TCELL, and ASELS. Across Borsa Istanbul, ARTMS, BRKVY, and HOROZ hit their ceiling prices, making them the top performers, while EUHOL, BRMEN, and ANHYT shares ended the day as the biggest losers.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the USD/TRY showed a slight decline to 34.24, while the EUR/TRY rose nearly 0.30% to 37.09. Gold per gram increased by approximately 0.40% to 3,004 TRY.

In international markets, Asian indices closed in the red, while European indices maintained a positive trend approaching their close. In the U.S., the Nasdaq and S&P 500 moved positively in the initial hour, whereas the Dow Jones remained negative.
