Headline: Foreign Investors Unload Stocks
In the week of October 18, foreign investors conducted net sales of equities worth $73.6 million, after adjustments for market price and exchange rate fluctuations. According to data released by the Central Bank of Turkey, the same week saw net purchases of government domestic debt securities (GDDS) amounting to $115.7 million.
Foreign investors had net sales of $9.2 million in GDDS (Reverse Repo) and net purchases of $3,680.5 million in GDDS (Collateral). There were no transactions in GDDS (Lending), while corporate bond purchases netted $14.5 million.
- Stocks.. The market value of equity stocks held by foreign investors totaled $30,681.2 million. Holdings in GDDS (Definite Purchases) stood at $15,590.3 million, GDDS (Reverse Repo) stocks at $2,082.5 million, and GDDS (Collateral) stocks at $6,304.6 million. Issuances by sectors other than the general government were reported at $380.2 million.
