BETAM Anticipates a 1.3% Contraction in Turkey's Economy in Q2 Compared to the Same Quarter Last Year
BETAM anticipates that the Turkish economy will contract by 1.3% in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. In a statement, it was noted, "According to our calculations based on finalized GDP leading indicators for July and August and partially released data for September, we expect the Turkish economy to contract by 1.3% in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. With seasonally and calendar-adjusted data, we forecast that GDP will decrease by 0.6% in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter."
