Headline: Garanti BBVA Crypto Enhances Its Digital Platform with Ripple and IBM Collaboration

Garanti BBVA Crypto has partnered with Ripple and IBM to enhance the performance and security of its cryptocurrency trading platform. This significant collaboration was announced in a press release by Ripple. Following a successful pilot program in 2023, the bank has now made the service developed in partnership with Ripple and IBM available to all its users.

Through this collaboration, Garanti BBVA Crypto has securely established an enterprise-level key management infrastructure, ensuring top-level application and data security. The secure environment provided by Ripple Custody and IBM solutions includes data encryption, isolation of customer environments, and hardware security modules with the highest security certifications.

Garanti BBVA Crypto aims to diversify its assets. The CEO and Board Member of Garanti BBVA Crypto, Korcan Abalı, indicated that they began offering digital asset services in 2023 in response to customer demand. He highlighted that they provide services for various cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, USDC, AVAX, CHZ, XRP, ARB, and SOL, and emphasized their commitment to expanding asset diversity and enhancing service infrastructure.

Işıl Kılınç Gürtuna, General Manager of IBM Turkey, emphasized the need for digital assets to be managed on secure platforms, stating that IBM’s LinuxONE infrastructure meets these standards. Aaron Sears, Senior Vice President of Ripple’s Global Customer and Partner Success division, shared their excitement in contributing to the development of Turkey's dynamic cryptocurrency market.
