Intriguing Development: Roblox Eyes Opening Office in Turkey

Roblox, the video game platform, announced that it plans to open an office in Turkey, in compliance with local laws, if access to the platform is reinstated. The platform had previously been blocked due to concerns about content potentially leading to child exploitation. The Minister of Justice stated in August that access to Roblox was blocked by a court order while an investigation was underway to "ensure the protection of our children."

Roblox expressed its belief in playing a positive role in the community by providing a "platform for learning, creation, and meaningful connection." It affirmed its commitment to engaging with authorities to address Turkey's "unique needs."

The statement added, "Should access to the platform be restored, we plan to open an office in Turkey and establish a dedicated team, including additional local language moderators."
