Which Stocks Gained the Most on Borsa Istanbul Today?

The BIST 100 continued its positive trend on the last trading day of the week. After starting the week with a downward trend, the index reversed direction following the U.S. elections and today settled around the 9,000 point level with an increase of approximately 2.5%.

The BIST 100 index showed a weekly increase of 3% as it approached the close, marking a significant move towards recovery, particularly stepping into the 9,000 points. Towards the end of the day, demand for BIST 30 stocks was higher, with the index gaining nearly 3%. In contrast, the index outside BIST 100 saw less demand with an increase of about 1.5%.

Sector-wise, banks were noted to have risen around 5%, contributing to the uplift in the BIST 100. Following banks, the sectors that saw the highest rises were IT and textiles. In contrast, the food sector was negatively differentiated from the market with a half-point decline as the day closed.

Overall, DMSAS, BEYAZ, and KERVN stocks were among the top gainers in Borsa Istanbul. In addition to ULKER, EUHOL and DURDO stocks ranked as the largest losers today.

In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL is trading at 34.36 with a 0.4% increase. The euro/TL has decreased by about 0.3% to 36.98, while the price of gold per gram has increased by 0.2% to 2,982 TL.

In international markets, Asian indices closed the week mainly in the negative, particularly the Chinese markets. As the week closed, European indices showed selling activity, while the BIST was seen to positively differentiate itself from European markets. U.S. indices started the day positively.
